Hurstville man faces Bexley restaurant robbery charge

A Hurstville man, 19, has been arrested over a Bexley restaurant robbery last year.

Police were called to the Forest Road restaurant on August 2 after a man with a knife threatened the owner and demanded cash.

They set up a crime scene and seizedseveral items for forensic examination.

Police searched a house in Lyle Street, Hurstville, on Wednesday (March 11) and seized steroids.

The man was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and was granted bail to appear in Kogarah Court on April 7.

The arrest was made by officers of Strike Force Culch which is investigating hotel robberies between June and August 2014 within St George and Fairfield local area commands.

Investigations are continuing.
